What was ClawComp?
ClawComp was a month-long build program — not a weekend hackathon — that brought together an elite community of OpenClaw and Hermes innovators from universities across the country. Rather than pulling students away from what they were already building, ClawComp challenged them to integrate autonomous AI into that work and push it further than they would on their own.
Every accepted team received a free Mac Studio funded by Link Ventures — theirs to keep no matter where they finished. Teams built for a month, submitting weekly video updates, then were flown to Boston (all expenses paid) for ClawWeek: four days of in-person building, pitching, and networking at Link Studios in Kendall Square. Founders, investors, and professors from Harvard, MIT, and Northeastern evaluated pitches in real time, and $17,500 in prizes went to the teams whose automations delivered measurable outcomes — not wrapper products that fall apart under scrutiny.
